Welcome to Dibs Free. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms. Please read them – they're short.
1. What Dibs Free is
Dibs Free connects people who give things away for free with people who want them. We are a platform only: we don't own, inspect or deliver any item, and we are not part of the deal between users.
2. Free means free
Everything listed must be free. Asking for money, trades, deposits or "gas money" is not allowed.
3. Your account
You must be at least [13 / 18] years old. Keep your login safe and give a real name or nickname – no impersonation. One person, one account.
4. Not allowed
- Weapons, ammunition, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and vapes, medicine, recalled or unsafe products, animals, stolen goods, counterfeits, adult content.
- Spam, scams, harassment, hate speech, or anything illegal.
- Posting items you don't have the right to give away, or Curb Alerts on private property.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Posts reported by several people may be hidden automatically.
5. Pickups and safety
Meet in safe places when you can, and use your judgment. Items are given "as is". You are responsible for checking an item before taking it and for how you transport it. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe; for emergencies call 911.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a license to show it in the app and on our channels to run and promote Dibs Free. Only post photos you're allowed to post.
7. Dibs Pro
Dibs Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription ($3.99 per week or $9.99 per month, prices may vary by region) sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period in your Apple ID settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. Super Dibs don't carry over to the next month.
8. Ads
The free version may show ads in the swipe deck. We're not responsible for advertisers' websites or offers.
9. Liability
Dibs Free is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for items, pickups, or what users do. [Liability cap and disclaimer wording – lawyer]
10. Ending
You can delete your account any time in the app. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
